Thinking about doing a PhD in social psychology? Curious about boredom, interest, and thinking (and why it’s so hard for so many of us)? Broadly interested in the reasons behind why people think and feel the way they do? Come join us in warm sunny Florida! The Florida Social Cognition and Emotion Lab is accepting graduate students for fall 2020; all accepted students in the department are fully funded (all tuition paid) for five years, and receive a stipend to offset living costs. We currently have additional funding to release graduate students from teaching obligations in their first two years of the program. To apply, please email Prof Erin Westgate to express interest (more info on why and how to email faculty prior to applying). Visit the department web page for more info for prospective graduate students and how submit your application. To learn more about the social area, and additional faculty you might be interested in working with, check out the area webpage. For general advice on applying to graduate school in psychology, check out this excellent step-by-step guide (and a recent update). Deadline to apply is this fall 2019 (deadline: Dec 1), for admission starting fall 2020. (Yes, there are alligators on campus. Yes, this is a plus!) Comments are closed.
