Guided Open Water Dives
We offer guided scuba dives of the most popular freshwater springs to all certified open water divers, including Ginnie Springs, Devil's Den, and Blue Grotto, as well as lesser known springs off the beaten path. You can find a diver's map of the springs and more info on available dive sites here, from open-water friendly caverns that do not require a cavern cert, to shallow dives suitable for junior open water divers. Our guided open water dive rate is $200 per person/day, which includes two dives at the same site. Guide fees do not include gas fills/tanks, rental gear, or site admission/entry fees. All guided dives are private, and one-on-one. If you need rental gear, we are happy to arrange that for you through our local shop, Extreme Exposure.
Additional same-day dives or long distance sites (90+ minutes) may be available for an additional rate.
We offer guided cavern dives to certified cavern and cave divers only, in the cavern zones of popular Florida caves, such as Little River and Ginnie. All overhead dives are conducted with full cavern protocol (rule of thirds, lines, etc.), and led by an experienced cave-certified guide in full cave gear. Certified cavern/cave divers are welcome to dive in single-tank, backmount doubles, or sidemount configurations; all divers must carry a minimum of three lights and a primary reel/spool.

About Me: Erin Westgate is a local cave diver and psychology professor at the University of Florida. Originally from Texas, she learned to dive during her graduate studies at Virginia a decade ago. Since moving to Florida, she has been out diving the springs and caves two to three times a week. She loves showing folks around and especially supporting women and new cave/tech divers in the hobby!
Erin is a certified SDI Divemaster, as well as an experienced recreational (10+ years, 1000+ dives) and technical cave diver (TDI Full Cave, Cave DPV, Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures, NSSCDS Abe Davis Award). She is based in Gainesville, Florida.
